Ok so i didn't really achieved what i had in mind.
My vacation will not be able to go according plan now.
My MAY roster is a wreck.

SEP is in 2days time.. im freaking out..
Trying so hard to cramp the whole information from the Manual into my rusty brain... *smacks forehead.

My tummy's isn't feeling good lately.. Not sure if it's something i ate or because i've been skipping meals.. Haven't had any appetite to have a proper meal lately... My mind is too stressed thinking bout the Exam!!!

How i wish i could just cut n paste all the info into a chip n download them into my brain... Then life would be so much easier!! (In my dreams i guess~)

Anyway im really hoping that the Roster Department is gona be kind to me for nest month's roster... hehehe...

Im really looking forward for my leave... But i really wana go somewhere for a short getaway too... :( i need a break from all this mess... But no worries, i'm sure i'll figure out somethin like always ;)

My beloved parents are away in Jakarta now... (my dad's 52nd advanced bday present cum get-away) How romantic!! *giggling* Just want them to enjoy their time spent together... And thanks to my Uncle for accompanying them and showing them around... :)

Well i know for sure,.. this time im goin back,... i will be spending time with my cousins as well.. One of my cousin has already 'booked' a date to bring me around! Wee!! and ive got a few plans lined up for me too.. Hopefully it goes according to plan :D

Back from Incheon Seoul Korea yesterday morning.
Had a very dramatic trip.
But the flight was superb.
Great crews and cool seniors.

Well i have a story to share. Based on my personal life experience.
Friends come and go.
Yes they do although many may object to what im about to say. (referring to someone that i've had a very surprising conversation with on FB, i think u know who u are)

It's been 1 year since i've moved away and yes i've learnt how to prioritize my life.
I know who my REAL friends are, Who are my 'friends' and who are the 'friends who are only there when they need something from me'

Therefore i've refrained myself from being too sociable with them.
It's not because I've forgotten them. Or forgotten where i came from. Just that I've learnt that i shouldn't be too nice with these people whom I don't think deserve me as their friend.
Yup I'm back people! After along AWOL.
Im gona start to be blunt with my words and 'less hospitable'to those who don't deserve being treated with respect.

If u think that i've changed, then go ahead. I don't need to explain myself to any of you.
I've just reached my limit of keeping quiet all this while.
Because 1st of all i don't need any of you to judge me.
Neither do i need any of you to pretend to be my friend. So you can jolly well save your energy to send me any grandmother stories or msges on FB or my Hotmail account. :D <3

And stop pretending that u care about how i feel coz u know deep inside u don't. So do you think u deserve to be spoken to or treated like before?? N.O.P.E. I doubt so too.

1-2 March -was on leave
3 March-Day Off after leave
4 March- Airport Standby from 6am-9am-> was called up for London Heathrow
5 March - Depart From London Heathrow in the evening
6 March- Arrived in DXB in the wee hours of the morning...
7 March- Did nothin the whole day except went out with Baz,..
8 March- Cooked Chicken curry for dinner..Invited some friends over..
9 March- Airport Standby from 7am-10am -> wasn't called up for any flight.. so went back to sleep..
10 March- Day Off..went to the Sauna with Baz.. then watched From Paris with Love with Baz,Kunal & Amar in the evening... (Was tricked into watching the movie).. Thanks guys,... now u owe me a movie with Mr Johnny Depp! *winks!

11 March- OFF day again... cooked Chicken Rice for dinner! My mum will be so proud of me.. *winks!
12 March- OFF Day

Anyway here is something that i wana share with u..

Sometimes in life, u'll go through a really rough patch..whereby u'll tend to feel like your whole world is crumbling down on you.

But Fret not.. Because everything happens for a reason...

I cant tell you what that 'reason' is unfortunately, however there will be,...

You might not see it tmrw,the next day,the following wk, or month, BUT u'll find it sooner or later. So guys, if u were to ever overcome some obstacles in life that u might find it heartbreaking, torturing, mind boggling,... Dont ever feel despair...

1) There's more people out there that is going through a MUCH MUCH MUCH tougher time than you are.

2) Look around you and be very thankful for what you already have.

3) Think about your family and close friends that you have around you,.. maybe u might start thinking about them too.. and not to start doing somethin silly to hurt yourself...

Because in life, you can never fall back n be depressed forever,... like i said earlier on, Things happens for a reason... You have to keep moving forward and not dwell on the past.

There will be something positive coming out of that particular situation.

Im not trying to sound naggy,... however there are more important things in life for you to think about rather than to be depressed just because of that particular reason.. Hmm..well nothin comes easy,.. you need to make an effort to start thinking POSITIVE and stay away from NEGATIVITY... it's all in the mind.

Once you get the hang of it,.. everything will be fine.. Trust me.

It's 2010,.. another yr with lots of resolutions to fulfill and also lots of hurdles to overcome.

Another chapter to open,... what can i say,.. things happens for a reason.
Like my mum used to say,.. 'Biar ape orang nak kate, mulut org kite tak boleh tutup, nanti dah penat die diam sendiri'
Translation,' Let them say whatever they want, we cant make them stop, they'll shut up when they're tired'

So whatever it is,.. If its not for my family and my true friends, i won't be where i am today.
Im thanking everyone of them who has been there for me all this while.

Though we may lose some friends, the True Friends remain.

Anyway My Family was in DXB recently from 26Dec-31stDec...
I hope they had fun,...

Our appartment (Baz & Mine) now looks abit more like a home.. Soon it will be a proper home with internet, tv channels, bbq pit etc :) InsyaAllah.. It's never easy living on your own... But with abit of help, InsyaAllah we will achieve it :)

Felt abit lonely after they left,... after 5days straight of kecoh-ness.. suddenly back to silence.. Turned on loud music and cleaned the whole appartment by myself.. *so proud!! even cleaned the balcony...

and spent new year's eve sleeping... had to hibernate for Toronto flight the following morning..
I was supposed to cook for Amar for his open house n NY party.. unfortunately due to low response, we had to cancel it. And divert the party to Bader's..
And because i was too exhausted to even get ready after all the cleaning,.. i gave up,... i was so exhausted that it took me 4hours to pack my suitcase... hmm... n fell asleep close to midnight,.. There goes my NEW YEAR,...

I feel so jetlagged!! My whole body is aching!
I miss home cooked meal,.anxious for my roster for 2010 to be out,.. and my pay to come!! lolx!
but overall im so excited for my family's arrival in dxb...

Touched down in DXB at about 0545.. went to check my roster.. stil not out yet..
so headed back home.. fell asleep on the bus.. took a long hot shower and hit the sack w/o even unpacking my suitcase! my stomach was growling but i didnt bother to get up to get somethin to eat as my energy level was below zero...

This job isn't as 'fabulous' or 'acting pretty' on board ya..
I hate it when people stereotype us. Some even think we don't do anything on board!
Damn...
We are everything to the pax on board once the doors are closed.
We are the 'mothers'
We are the 'fathers'
We are the 'nannies'
We are the 'nurses'
We are the 'Immigration officers'
We are the 'Custom officers'
We are the 'Teacher'
We are the 'bag handlers'
We are the 'information counter'
We are the 'travel agents'
We are the 'canteen lady'
We are the 'Technician'
and the list goes on... ..

So please if u were to think that we are 'nothing', please think again.
It's not an easy job to do.
Or some may say that we 'think so highly of ourselves'..
please think again..
Because there is also reasons behind it..
We are always thinking a few steps ahead,and our minds are progressing 24/7!
We don't do things w/o thinking of the safety and security of the other 500 lives on board..

And even when I walk down the street, if i see something that can be done to improve or help someone, i will do it w/o second thought.
That's what being a cabin crew is all about.

I've managed to quarantine myself from going out so much for the past few weeks since i got back from Sydney..
It's been hard lately.. No one can ever imagine...
If only anyone knew how hard it is..
Yup it feels incredible to be living in a 'Condo'.. that's what we used to call them back where i come from...
But no one knows how empty it actually is..
trying not to sound too depressed..
no one is around... No internet, bad phone reception, no tv channels...
So what do i do to entertain myself u ask me?? Hmm... Sleep,.. watch movies on my dearest lappy and also sitcoms that will kinda entertain me for the time being...
No appetite to eat too though... I dont feel like cooking or even eating sometimes..
But look on the bright side,...it seems like i can fit into my old jeans too!! Kudos to Me!! Yeah!! Finally!! After the 2mths of unpaid leave-after Hari Raya-&-Balik kampung-with all the -sinful dishes-lemak cili padi-watever-u-name-it... hahaha
if i remembered correctly i think i kinda put on bout 5kilos!! Damn!!

but i guess going through 'depression' is alright too.. hahah kinda help to take my mind of 'F-O-O-D'.. otherwise, i'll always be stuffing my head into the fridge to look for food... hahhaa

I miss Bazilah...I miss having someone to talk too.. haix..

But unfortunately i cant.

Sydney n Auckland was hectic... crazy bunch of crews... especially Elisha, a crew from M'sia..
i always have fun flying with her... i have no idea where she gets all her energy from...
at the end of the 13hr flight,.. she can stil be very perky n cheerful!! Unlike me... i'll be like the beeping sound from a HP asking for charging... haha
seriously its not easy to be on long haul flights.. people expect u to be all smiley n happy all the way... But everyone of us are Human ya.. so we will definitely have the 'tired' look..
although we will try our very best to smile n be as happy as ever.. but to tell u the truth, its really hard to have the :D look on the face.. sometimes at the end of the flight, the 'smille' that i have on my face is a fixed smile... Sometimes people dont get why the Crew's always give a fake smile.. But come on people!! TRY SMILING FOR 13HRS STRAIGHT! UR CHEEKS WILL HURT!
haha but its fun. Esp if u fly with crazy crews.. who will crack a joke or two in the middle of the service to pump up the energy level in the cabin... which is good coz u'll tend to feel down sometimes even without u knowing it or intentionally doing it.

But most of all,.. i love my job. I love having to meet new people. Although its not easy having to attend to a screaming passenger blaming us for their flight delay on their previous flight. Its ridiculous sometimes, how people manage their anger.
I feel really lucky n blessed to have been offered this job. Because ive learnt alot of things.. And somehow ive realised that ive managed to control my anger too.. I used to get so angry at the slightest things... but now ive seen how ive managed it. To think rationally n find a solution to it. At the end of the day, everyone will be happy. :)
Think positive people.

-camera woman

anythin that u can do in life... :)
we have to overcome all of this... :)

I used to be very Vocal in my speech.. n very direct in my opinions...
nowadays, i try to 'filter' my words and the tones that i use...
So far, Alhamdulillah, ive not been into any trouble onboard with any passengers with my tongue lashing words... haha

Well although at times i admit i do it on purpose to get my point across...

But despite all that, im still a nice and great person to turn to,..
You can never understand what people think or feel... therefore at times, we might do some things unintentionally without knowing u're hurting the other party...

For once in my life, i've managed to control my anger and channeled it to wisdom instead..

And no doubt im infact really proud of myself for handling the situation well...

If not for me being in Dubai, i think i would have gone beserk!!!

But its alright, people have their own feelings,.. But somehow i think it's better that they learn how to manage it .. Dont you think so?

You can't always follow your emotions. You should stop and think rationally.. Because when you are angry, you tend to say certain things to the other party without having any thought of hurting them.. Or maybe in you case "u did it intentionally' so that you can have HIS full attention..

Well here's the problem. 'Someone' called me a 'Bitch' for chatting with Her 'Fiance'...

Hmm.. You may think i might have done something wrong... Well say what you want and think whatever comes to your mind. But i did no such things to Hurt anyone or to come inbetween of any couple.

Some girls find me Intimidating. I have no idea why.. Maybe they should have gotten to know ME in person FIRST before jumping into conclusions.??

It is not classy at all to throw your anger to someone who is completely innocent and without doing any research on what's really happening around you...

Hey Lovelies,
Came back from Bangkok flight in the morning. At about 1.05am (DXB time)..
The flight was delayed in BKK for bout 30mins... Flight time was 6hr 20mins...
Had fun in BKK,..finally my first Flight since i came back from my 'getaway' in Spore for 2months...

Our flight was also delayed out of Dubai, coz there were some diverted flights into DXB..so we had to wait for about 1hour! Just for those passengers connecting to BKK...
But on the bright side, there were only 220 pax out of 399... Isnt it amazing??
Normally its overbooked..

That gives me an idea that 'IF' i were to ever wana go out on a short getaway (must be on a weekend) and on the A380,.. i will definitely go, and maybe bunk in with one of the crews..

hahah but i doubt that that's ever gona happen for the next few months...coz im gona be broke!! ahaha

Anyway, I flew with Ahmad (M'sia),Djamel (Algeria) & Rin(M'sia)... It's always great when u have great crew with u,..so u have places to go with on the Layovers...

So after the 5hr n 20 mins we reached BKK... We checked in n to my amazement, our room were amazing!! There're 2 towers of the Hotel,.. 1 is normally for the crews, n the other will be for the Captain n First Officer.. but this time around, ALL of us got the latter...
I was so happy!! pix will be up in FB.. too lazy now... haha

Got changed and went down to meet up with Ahmad & Rin for supper..
We went to the Night Market... We had seafood.. Steamed fish,Curry Crab,Tom Yum Khung and Kang Kung!! Makan Besar giler!!..
But we did have something to celebrate about coz it was Ahmad's 1year with EK!!
That is so cool..
There were 2 ladies seated behind our table who kept taking our pictures and the dishes we ordered... And after all the food was served, Rin & I were clapping for Ahmad...
Our actions made the 2ladies near us turned... and Guess what?? Before they left, they actually came over to our table, and She wished Ahmad 'Happy Bday!'

Oh-my-gawd! hahah that was so hilarious!! She didnt know what we were cheering about.. But assumed it was his Birthday.. hahah

So after we ate, we walked around, unfortunately we took such a long time having our meal, that most of the shops were almost closing...
But, we bought for ourselves some lights!! its so gorgeous, that ive bought 2 of them in 2 colours, Red & White..(Semangat Spore la Nyah!!)

And Ahmad bought a Bean Bag Seat... Its nice!! Will get one soon... & it is so cheap too...
Nvm,,.. will start to decorate my NEW room in tecom once i move in.. hehehe.. or maybe a few more months... hahah

I bought for myselves 2bags!! haha cannot tell which one.. :P

back in DXB...
Thanx to those special ppl in my life who sent me off...
n watched me pack n unpack my suitcases in public...
they stood by me stil... :(
its harder to leave them again this time.. i duno why..
despite the fact that im deeply hurt inside... (not with my famile of coz)
hmm its ok... shall not dwell on it too much... let bygones be bygones...
i dont want to keep hurtin myself bcoz of that...
Im much stronger than that...

My dear siblings n cousins gave me a farewell gift... it was a round box...
In it was things such as...Shawl,nail file (which is bedazzelled!),organiser,bag tag....

anyway im too lazy to type out wat happen at the airport....
and so i arrived at 5.35am (dubai time) = 9.35am (spore time)
Din picked me up from the airport.. thanx again...

n so i came back to an empty appmnt...
TO my horror my bathroom was like a swimming pool...
the floor was freakin wet.. the bathroom mat was soakin wet...
The ceiling was leakin really badly... n the smell of it.. (urgh!!)
i dont even want to think about goin in there..or imagine where was that 'water' from...
Only God knows...

so i went downstairs to the security to inform them... Din left...
Security ~ Ashraf went up to my appt to see what was the matter...
he climbed on the bathtub,... forced open the ceiling.. n water start gushing out...
so he said ,'Okay! I call Maintainence guy come'
n i replied,' Okay!, what time?? Now?? coz i wana sleep!!'
Ashraf,'No later after 9'
I said,'ok then... i sleep 1st'

He left,... n i start to unpack my suitcase... (whatever is left from the whole thing...)
then i decided to watch Friends.... i felt like the couch was quite far from the TV, as i was
being very considerate to lower down the volume, incase if i laugh too loudly.... thinkin of the surrounding neighbours who might also be resting..(its only 7am+ to begin with!!)

Half-way through the show.. i think i must have fallen asleep...
woke up n realised it was 12pm...
n the maintainece guys arent here yet...
so i called the reception n asked Ashraf when are they comin...

Ashraf,' They come 3times, u no open door'
Me, 'Oh sorry! i think i must have fallen asleep n didnt hear the door bell...'
Ashraf,' Okay i tell u one thing,... u wait. I call them again.'
Me, ' Ok this time im awake.. then i wait'
Ashraf,' Wokay wokay..'
n then the line went dead...

few minutes later the door bell rang...
showed the guys the bathroom ceiling...
n off they fixed it...

n i spent the rest of the day re-organising my wardrobe..
according to the colours, n the different type of clothes they are.... hahaha
BF called to ask how i was doing... he's down with fever.... :(
told him bout my latest 'activity'.. n he was like ,'erm.. ok... like wat the...'
hahaha in another words he's tryin to say that im lame... hahahaha...
its ok... i guess i hav to keep myself busy with doing somethin... or i'll go beserk... lol

anyway im beginning to miss my family n the people whom i call my friends in spore.... :(

Despite many telling me that they were waiting eagerly for my arrival back home..

I am really thankful for having my family around me all the time... to keep me company...

Leaving everyone of them again is gona be another barrier i have to cross over..

within the past 1mth plus since i've been back,..
I've noticed alot of changes amongst those people whom i used to call 'friends'

I have to say that im greatly disappointed with alot of them...

My last Night in DXB!

Baz came over yesterday afternoon...
Chilled for a little bit,while waiting to meet Shah n Faizal.
We were heading to Naif Road in Deira to collect our Clothes from Phulwani.
Im damn excited for this year's Hari Raya!! Cant wait,..Bought matchin Shoes n Purse!!
Kewat kan aku!!lol!

SHOPPING TIME!!!
After spending almost 2hours in Chainani's Store *which includes Us having Iftar in his shop as well..(malu kan!lol!) We headed to another Shop....
Basically our mission was just to spend our money!
Shah directed us to another shop,where we can get Abayah(Traditional Conservative Costume for the Ladies in the Middle East)
n YES! Both Baz n I bought for ourselves too!!!
and not forgetting for our family members as well,.. I bought for my Sisters n Mum too.. hehe excited la.. wana get them to put it on right after i reach home!!*wuahahahaha!!

Then silly me, was thinkin that i need to get more Hijab*(tudung~in malay) for the other Ladies in the Family..
So off we go back AGAIN to Phulwani..bought LOADS of Hijabs.. different patterns as well.. (im gona open a business in Spore *evil laughter!) lolx!

Next, to the Choc & Nuts, where we bought lots of Dates, Nuts(Pistachio,Almond,Cashew..)& of coz not forgetting CHOCOLATE DATES!!
you definitely HAVE to try one if u come to my place.. hahaha... *well that also depends on whether or not it will still be there! hehe

After all that,..FINALLY we had our PROPER MEAL FOR IFTAR...
all of us were already tired.. the Guys were shaking their heads...
*'korang borong satu kedai ehk!?'
hehehe...

So we went to have our Dinner at Koreana... *we were tempted to eat Korean Food coz baz n I were talkin bout meeting up in Spore to have Seoul Garden after Raya!! hehe

Sadly we didnt take any pictures coz we forgot to bring our Camera..*slaps forehead (coz ive already charged the battery for my Cam..)

We went to this Shop *forgot the name la

anyway we bought the BIG CLIP!

haha its a Hair clip where you put before u wear the Hijab..Coolkannnnn!!

Then i bought Sheesha as well..*its a gift for a friend of mine...

Then we went back after that...

Baz slept over at my place..

I was to excited bout the Abayah that i had actually put it on!!

together with the BIG CLIP! the whole suit!!

hahah i think if i put on a Shade, covered half of my face like how they do,

I can definitely pass for a Middle East Lady!!

Today, woke up at 3pm!

WOW!! like finally i was able to sleep peacefully for 9hours without any distractions.

Wasn't able to have a proper sleep for the past few days...

Reserve month is really rubbish..It will tire u out endlessly..

Just after coming back form the Sydney flight the other day i spent the night as Baz's place,

then the following day i had Airport Standby..

Which is ridiculous, coz i wasn't gona be Legal to fly anyway..

So i spent the whole of 3LOOONNGG hours sleeping in the Quiet Rm..

LAME.. i know.. tell me bout it...

i didnt actually put much things in my suitcase..coz i know i wont go anywhere!

so headed back home...*again at this point of time.. i was so exhausted..

Dragging my feet home...fell asleep on the bus..almost missing my stop..

then the following day i was rostered for BKK (Bangkok) flight,

Same procedure couldnt sleep after Sahur...

So started to get ready quite early..

was so looking forward for BKK,..

wana go fo Massage n wanted to get somethin done to my hair...

Then the flight was Stand Down..which means that ITS CANCELLED!!

Good thing about it was that it was IT for me for the rest of the month!!

I could basically go hm,pack my things n leave for Spore!

But i had plans with Baz to go Shopping for last minute things before i go for my leave...

So anyway back to today.

haha

We got ready n by 4pm, we made our way to Dubai Mall...

wanted to get *that shoe MY BF WANTS SO BADLY!!

My dear.. u'd better appreciate it ok,.. hahaha

ive searched high n low everywhere i went for this shoe of yours.. hahha

Then i brought Baz to the Shop that was having Sales for shoes!

Dont tell me bout Shoes,.. i can smell the sign board which has got

S-A-L-E on it from miles away!!..

Cheap ok!! but nice.. haha there were alot of 'Cannot-make-it-designs'

but those that we picked were nice..

I have good taste for Shoes;)

Having to work in Dior for almost 4yrs,..

therefore i have the Eyes for Gorgeous Pairs of Shoes!!

So if u wana buy any shoes,..consult me first!!;)

LOL!

Im so crazy for New Look! the Shoes that they have there are so amazing!!

If im born rich, i would buy everything,every design and in every colour!!

(ok ive got to control it ok..)

The reason why i took Unpaid Leave is so that i could spend time with my

FAMILY & FRIENDS!

Had Iftar with Amir,Baz & Amir's Friend,..(k i forgot his name) but i know he's from Oman.. haha.. I had Sirloin Steak at The Butcher's Shop... Sometimes you have to indulge in Scrumptious meal once in awhile to treat yourself..hehehe
Then headed to the Carrefour to get some Groceries for our Iftar gathering the following night.
We were going to cook for bout 10-11 people!!
Once we reached Baz's place, we jammed all night long!! til Sahur.. and til the following morning.. haha 10pm-9am jamming session.. haha Ok i wanted to 'lepaskan geram' coz i wont be able to jam with them for quite some time later...

Anyway i fell asleep at about 9am the following morning...Baz was already asleep before i did... coz i was practicing my Drums!! haha Now come to think of it, i have to urge to buy Guitar Hero la!!hahaha Its ok.. i think if i were to get it, i will lock myself in my appartment all the way!!

Woke up at about 1pm,... freshen ourselves.. and headed to the kitchen... to start cooking..

We prepared Kari Lemak Ayam,Black Pepper beef,Nasi Ayam & Sayur Goreng..

The First few Guests who arrived was Richard & Fardiana, With Sham & family.. His Son is so adorable!! Im waiting For them to upload the pix on FB so i can update them here...

Then Just a few minuted before Iftar the rest finally arrived, Kak Ain & her Bf,Amir,Falah ,Wan & Din...

Sha couldnt make it coz he had to work that evening..Shame...
Faizal..Im not sure...
Vee..didnt RSVP to any of us,...

So We had our Iftar,... Then we started to Karaoke.. haha Gerek pe.. It was fun... the kids were cute.. The people were G-R-E-A-T!!
After soaring our hearts out, we were basically bored,... haha Felt really bad for Amir.. Kene nyakat every minute!! Every song!! hahaa *tapi lu tetap GEREK!! hahaha

Half way through Vee and Amar Came..

Then we started to jam at about 9.30pm... Wan semangat la sangat nak main Drum... Timing baik.. skali main Drum *doinks !!,Baz was the Singer,I played the Bass & Vee played the Guitar...
We had to restart the song a few times coz Wan kept hitting the wrong notes or the timing was wrong!! haha Kecoh habis!!

Then we switched around, Falah learnt how to play the Guitar aswell... Amir played the Drums,Din played the guitar... haha i think everyone had fun... It's not always that we get to hangout..Well it's my 1st time having Iftar with The group in Dubai.. i know I DID!!

Din always 'spot' me at the way i held the Microphone.. *merepek ehk!! Nonsence tau!

Well, im counting down the days now...
1more flight to go.. im nervous & anxious atthe same time as well...

We shall jam again when im back ya.. insyaAllah... or we shall set up the karaoke system at my place,.. Ok then i shall take a nap now..

Heading for Bangkok in a few hours time..
I shall go for a massage while im there... been havin this backaches since the ULR flight.. i think i over worked myself...

We treat our Passengers really well and sometimes after a long flight, they might find that our Service and our friendliness warms up to them, and sometimes they might even write in to acknowledge our Great Services and that they are really thankful to US for looking after them.

FYI: Being a Cabin Crew is NOT ONLY ABOUT THE LOOKS my dear '2U'...
Do you think the job of a Cabin Crew is easy?? Nothin in life is ever easy i can tell you that.
I feel really blessed that i was offered this job.Especially for a YOUNG GIRL like me.
Let me tell you something...We're always reminded that our job scope might face a 'life or death' situation. Every flight we take might be the LAST.

If u're in a catastrophic situation, or a passenger on board is suffering from Breathing difficulties and we're 35,000 ft in the Air, what are you gona do?DO you know how to react to that kinda situation??
If suddenly the Engines of the Engine Catches fire, and we're flying above the Sea, what are you going to do?? What will your first reaction be?? What's the first thing you will think off?? Save yourself? or others?? Older People?kids?Babies?Young adults?? Or yourself??
Can you even answer these kinda questions??
Or If a passenger is drunk onboard and reacts violently and is harming the other passengers, what are you suppose to do???
Or if theres a Rapid turbulance happening and you're thrown upwards hitting the ceiling of the plane and that you're badly hurt, causing your arm to dislocate with the bone protruding out,... what are you going to do???

Please eh,... There might be some people out there who tends to forget their roots when they're abroad, i thank you sincerely for trying to 'knock some senses into me'... (sadly i doubt that i need any of your help)
But unfortunately, i dont think you need to be rude about it.

Atleast Im workin hard for my future and hopefully to be able to support my family in the future. Although i have to make a huge sacrifice by moving away to a foreign country, Im stil able to think deeply of what TO do and what NOT to do. And i do keep myself grounded by having Very good close friends around me in Dubai so that i wont forget about how close knit my family is.. and is still going strong.
Moving away has taught me how to learn to be more Independant as im living on my own and that I believe im much more mature now.Im going home with a better Life Experience with what i see every single day Venturing out alone in a Foreign Country/ On board the a/c.

The most important thing is that;

Anyway i forgot to Wish all of u Esp to my family members Selamat berpuasa!! hehehe
i got too carried away in my last post that i forgot to wish..hehehe

I had my iftar in the Plane in Auckland... Just a few minutes before Taking-off...
Manage to drink a glass of water & munch on some cut fruits before securing the cabin....
It is really challenging to be workin in a very Dry environment and to be fasting at the same time.. it really tests uir endurance level.. i guess thats what its all about ya...

So far Alhamdulillah... i am able to cope... and i guess today will be tha same as well..
back in Sydney...Imsak is at 4.43hr and Iftar is at 17.32hr...

That means i can rest the whole entire day... i shall go for a walk in the afternoon before Iftar time...Wake up call is at 18.50hrs and pick up is at 19.50hrs... that means i can eat before goin for flight.... Thank God our flight to Dubai tonight is a Night flight and that means i dont have to worry bout fastin for 14hrs!! hahaa...

Only before touching down in Dubai will be Imsak time... but its ok.. i think by the time i reach the appartment, i will b so exhausted that i'll throw myself on the bed.. haha(not forgetting to wash up first of course!)

cant wait for the 26th! Gona have Iftar together with the Dudes n Babes of Dubai.. hahaha
Gona be bunking over at Bazilah's place... Swimming and hopefully sauna after that!! hahaa
She's gona cook... I shall help... to look only...Wakakakaka!!!

Is in Sydney now,... Had breakfast with Will n Bat...
Really feel very tired n exhausted...
The Pax on board were great.. nothin much to complain about.. n tis time the Crews were fun! Maindeck of course...

Anyway.. i left home with a very strange feelin in my heart...
I know i forgot to bring something but cant seem to put a finger on it...

But guess wat did i realise after unpackin my suitcase in the Hotel???!!!

Managed to sleep bout 2hrs in the CRC (Crew Rest Compartment)

Ya Allah,.. please let this journey be a smooth journey for me w/o any distractions or whatsoever.... Gona Sahur later before flight to Auckland... will but some tidbits before sleeping at night...prob might sleep once i reach Auckland...

its 3.02am now.. Just finished doin my safetalk Questions...
Im having butterflies in my tummy... duno why...
im always having this feelin before i go for my flights...
Did alot,alot of thinking lately...
hmm but nvm .. its ok..

i feel depressed just by lookin at my own design..

i cant believe i've known him for almost 8years now!
From the time He was stil using Shorts (Sec 1) til he wears long pants... (stokin tinggi sampai ankle socks!) hahaha... NCC & NPCC...
Other cadet members always disturbing us during trainings...(He will always say NPCC merepek!) Had NDP trainings,whatever Parades in school together...
but watever it is, no doubt we had fun during our School days up til now... (not sure for him though)haha

Im just hoping that we'll last long.. InsyaAllah...

I miss my parents!!!
This year will be my 1st year being away during Ramadan..
i will be goin for my sydney flight later in the morning at 10am...
In Sydney, they're starting Ramadan on the 22nd Aug, which means i will Sahur alone...
hopefully i can find things to eat... probably might take some Kurma with me from the plane..
Im hoping that the crew's on board will be understanding as well..
i think i might be sleeping again throughout the stay there... hmm depends...
ok i think i shall turn in now.. force myself to sleep...

Im in a confused state.
Flight was cancelled.
Woke up at 6pm(Sydney time),found a note under the door,stating that the wake up call was gona be at 7pm instead, therefdore that leaves me with plenty of time to wash up and pack my suitcase,,

7pm came n gone, by 7.15pm they stil didnt give me any wake up call.
Found it rather strange.
Then the phone rang,.. the receptionist informed me that the flight was cancelled until further notice and that we could go down to collect out allowances in a short while.
Normally if the flight was delayed, we have to wait in our Uniform. But this is CANCELLED.
(what do i do now?)

So i went down,Saw Graham(one of the Gr1's workin in Economy for this flight), he was all dressed up and ready to go. (I thought i got the wrong call!! OMG! )
He's already checked out of his room. haha

So we headed to the Front Desk to ask what's going on.

Stuart(Front Desk Guy) said that its a complicated situation.
The flight departing from Dubai didnt make it to Sydney,instead had to Stop in Perth due to a Medical Case. Then It got Grounded. Then the Morning Flight from Dubai was also diverted to Perth (due to some reasons,Have no clue what it was)
And that means that If another batch of Crews were to arrive Later on Today, they might have to wait for the rooms for up to 6hours!!!!!

Complicating huh? So now i have to wait til bout 9pm, to see what's the updated situation,
If worse comes to worse, It's just that i miss home cooked meal. A proper meal that is cooked on a proper Stove.. not any Oven in the Galley...hmm

anyway... really confused now...gona put my head down for a bit while waiting for the next call from the Front Desk.

ok, u'll nvr imagine wat my mornin was like when i woke up today...
Time:4.23am (NZ time)
Location: The Langham Hotel in Auckland

I couldnt believe that ive slept for more than 16hours! my goodness!!
my flu is long gone now.. n i didnt eat for the whole day of yesterday!! My goodness again!!
The only thing i had was my Tom Yum cup noodle.. haha
Was supposed to have dinner with some of the crews at 7pm,...
thats when we arrived at about 2+pm yesterday,.. decided to take a short nap before heading off for dinner...
And guess what time did i wake up??!?!

8PM!!! OMG!!!
and i thought i wasn't that tired!
I was awoken by the sound of the TV, and turned to look at the digital clock at the bedside table and realised it was 20.03hrs!
I panicked, thinkin i'd made my friends wait for me for 1hr!! when no one called my room, or maybe they did, but i didnt hear the phone ringing.
Anyway i called up the Front Desk for one of the Crew's room no. and they connected the line to his room. Daniel picked up the phone ,sounded as sleepy as i was,..and said it was alright, coz he wasntthat hungry anyway.. (oops!) and that he was watchin tv.. I apologised many many times though...and hang up.

Then i was too bored, and decided to purchase a movie on the TV.
What movie did i watch u ask me??
It was 'Tinkerbell'..haha i have no clue why i chose that movie out of the many other movies available.LolX!!

So there i was watchin the beginning... and for all i know i couldnt remember the ending of it.
i think i must've fallen asleep half-way through the movie!!
(Gosh! what's happen to me?!)

Then i woke up again at 4.23am, and there i was.. wide opened eyes!!
very certain im not gona sleep again,... and Hell yes! im not gona sleep cause im here now..

Been up since then.
Watched TV,read a book, washed up, went for Breakfast, ate like Ive never ate before!! then went to use the Free internet excess on the 5th floor(Facebook of course!,its really addictive), and decided to take a walk at the town area ALL BY MYSELF!!(I should be awarded the Courageous Medal).
It was really chilly outside, and its wet. It's pouring and the wind is blowing so strong that i had to go back up to my room to get the umbrella & my Gloves + shawl..
God knows how many degress it was.

Snapped a few pictures. Nothin much to see actually,... People always stare at you when u hold a camera, i think people here dont have any, cause they give u that kinda look like they've never seen a camera before!! So i decided to keep my Camera safely in my bag to avoid anymore unwanted attractions.

They have Cotton On here, i was so happy to see it, but the excitement soon turned into disappointment. The Cotton On in Singapore's Wisma Atria is WAY better than this pathetic store.

Then there was Ripcurl,Quicksilver,Roxy..LV,Gucci Boutique (which i was too afraid to enter despite the tempations), nothin caught my eye..

So i went to the Souvenir Store to get some things like Keychains and Coasters.
and i finally went into a Pharmacy, (I MISS WATSONS!! SADLY THEY DONT HAVE IT IN DUBAI)

Then just when i thought i was heading back to the pick up point for the Hotel Shuttle bus, i saw the DFS store!
i looked at the time schedule to see the next pick up time, and i had 30 more minutes.
So i too a chanCe to pop in to see how it was inside.
They dont have Ferragamo Perfumes here, not even in Sydney. (WHY!!??)

I bought something from there..hehe... its a secret.. ;)

ok.. i'd better ehad back to my room now... read a book again i guess while waiting for the wake up call at 2.40pm.
Gona head back to Sydney in a few hours time...
I'd probably stay in again...therefore i guess i'll be bloggin more then.. and also Facebook-ing again... Haix sometimes i really wonder what am i doin,...
It was be a bore at times, but i love the job scope.. But then again, it wont be for a long term job.. ( i hope so) pfft.. ok then, off i go,..

either they're too stuck up or boring ppl...

i remembered my 1st n 2nd flight..filled with happy people..

u see... normally the crews are more bonded, coz we'll be flyin for 6days! so they will

normally stick together, or alteast be nice to one another..

nothin comes easy eh..

well, i did my part,.. helped others when in need, did my work properly

give no one trouble

(pax were giving a hard time instead)

U know, some of these pax, they think just because they Fly with Emirates,

paid good money,

get to rest their bums on the wide seats and bigger leg room,

they think, they can get away with everything!

Anyway here's some Facts that i wana share with u

REAL facts,

Confessions of a Cabin Crew

FYI for all u out there,

1) Cabin crews are not ur slaves!

Eg 1; There was one incident where a Lady refuse to speak to the Cabin Crew, when the Crew asked her husband, he said that's because she doesnt speak to slaves! (WTH!)

Eg 2; We dont clean up your kids after they throw up (Excuse me,we're handling food)

2)We're not ur nannies to look after your kids when we're busy doing the service

Eg; I know u're tired during the flight or u might be coming from a ULR flight, and u need the rest, so pls ensure ur child is restin too.Dont make them run around and forget where their seats are and start WAILING (not crying, but WAILING) louding lookin for their parents,disrupting other 398pax!

3)We dont make Milk for your babies

Eg; Dont come to us with the dirty bottle and ask for milk. (yes we do have fresh milk onboard, but its for the Tea & Coffee service, if we give it all to you, wat are we left with? Thankfully they have the Milk Jiggers now.

4)We dont carry ur bags (if its huge n heavy,y didnt u load it in the cargo in the 1st place?

Saves u the whole of trouble doesnt it?)

My insurance doesnt cover any back injuries

5)We're not Lavatory Cleaners

Dont tell us to clean up the mess after someone has puked.ergh!

We cant do anythin bout it, but to close it and put an In-operative sticker on the door.

6) If u get sick, please jolly well throw ur Sick Bags into the Bins provided near the Lavatories

Dont pass it to us when we're passin the cabin. (we're handling food)

7) If ure thirsty and are sitting near the Lavatories, please get up and walk over to the Drinkin fountain available.

Please dont be lazy,it will help if u did abit of stretching anyway.

8) When u see us in the cabin bringin the Bar cart, please to tell us your Desired Menu choice for Lunch/Dinner/As-u-like-it/Breakfast

*duh! isnt it obvious??

9)Same goes for Hot meal Carts into the Cabin, please dont ask us for Tea or Coffee/

if you would like some, please ask nicely, i would love to brew some for u, Dont demand as though i owe u somethin, its rude!

'I WANT TEA!I WANT COFFEE WITH MILK AND SUGAR'

'I WANT,I WANT I WANT!

10)If u plan to bring kids along with you, please train them before comin onboard,

Eg; ensure that they dont run around when we're about to start serving as they might run into the carts or trip over headphone wires!

they might hit one of the Cabin crew who's serving Hot tea or Coffee.

11)Please look after you kids ,dont let them play with the remote or they'll keep pressin the call bell non-stop during take-off or Landing (mind you 80% of Accidents occur during this timing, therefore to avoid disruptions, pls avoid doing so)

You might not know who is in need of help when they press the call-bell

12) If you're madly in love, please dont show too much Intense Emotions onboard as there might be kids around you watchin your every move which might traumatise them in the future.

And dont get into the tiny Lavatories together u fool!!

It was designed with 1 sink,1Toilet seat which means only 1 pax is allowed in one time(unless of course u're a baby who needs a nappy change!)

its a Muslim Airline for Goodness's Sake! (Haraam!!)

13)Dont panic and blame the Crews if the ICE system is not workin,

We're not the inventor,Technology systems may tend to break down sometimes, so live with it,

we;ll try to reset it from you seat, or from the front, we'll try every means to help you,otherwise we'll change you seat if there's any available.

14) When we're serving the Meals. pls be considerate and put ur seats upright so that the pax behind you get some space to eat and not having to bump their head against the Tv screen.

Its just a matter of courtesy.

Dont look at us and give us that look,as though we're disturbing your meal.

Im not sayin you cant do anything on board,

It takes two hands to clap.

If u're nice & polite, we'll be glad to serve you.

Finally back from a 6days trip..(i like to look at my work as goin for trips...hehe)

Dubai-Sydney-Auckland-Sydney-Dubai

It wasnt an easy flight to be frank with u..

1 SFS was annoyin me to bits..(shall not name any names here)

The other was fine.. Had no problems at all workin with them..

Juz some tiny little things... ('Attention to details' thats wat everyone in EK would say..

Anyway, i think im stil tired...

slept at 8am this mornin after reachin home at about 5am.. had an early breakfast, n slept,.. hoping to sleep throughout the day.... but to my despair,... i woke up at 12pm!!

thanx to an prank call done by a friend of mine, which shock me right out of my beautiful sleep.... argh!! i slammed down the phone!! told u not to ever do any prank calls!! haha irritants!

anyway i was in the mood to cook.. waited for bazila to come over, n i prepared some Pad thai for our dinner!! ok it wasnt that nice, but it was great to be eating real cooked meal after 1wk of being away.. hahaha

im on Reserve this month.. (oh bother!!) means that i can be pulled out for any flights (but they'll inform me atleast 24hrs beforehand.. so i have to keep checkin my roster every freakin day!!! argh!!!

ok im bored now... will try to think of somethin to do...
I cant imagine wat am i goin to do for the whole month!!
well, i can be prepared to go for a flight,... the least they could give me is LHR, London Heathrow, which is not a bad idea since its a gd destination for me to save money... juz bring cup noodles n stay indoors the whole time.. hahaha or i might go for a walk or so.... hmm ok ok ... ive not been assigned for THAT many London flights yet for this month, so i shall not get over excited bout it or i'll be disappointed if i dont get any.. (get wat i mean) anyway if i dont get pulled out for any flights for the next 3days, means i'll be on the flight to LHR on the 6th july... n the rest is stil pending... hmm,....

FYI i went shopping the night before i went to Sydney.

But 1st, i went to Phulwani, to do Baju raya!! Glamour u!! hahaha lacey2,. i loike!!
This yr's theme with family is Lace2 also.. hehe Mine is Dull pink, n Ain's is Gold n Brown,.. the tailor said that the material is too little for kebaya, so he suggested to do modern kebaya, so its shorter.. anyway to much details already!!SHH! u guys will see it on 3wks!! yeah!!
And My dear BF wants Golden brown/Bronze... lol!! (kewat kan!!)
but the cosest i cud find was Golden brown, and his shade will be slightly darker (GUY mah!)
And i put some 'sulam' for him at the collar... hopefully its nice,...but cant be too 'blingy' coz i haf to keep reminding myself that he's not a girl!! hahahaha i got a little carried away with my imaginations sometimes,with all the designs i had in mind!! lol

Then, Went to Dubai mall with Amir. Didnt actually plan on doing some shopping actually.
Had dinner, then walked around, bought somethings,. then i decided to go to Stadium, (we have it in Spore too, but i dont buy things from there previously)
but nowadays, im having this 'thing' for Swimming,.. haha so i bought a Billabong shirt n shorts(Swim wear of coz!),Roxy slippers,1 Addidas trackpants n an addidas shirt to match my Adidas running shoes!! hahaha.. (will try my best to keep fit k!!)

Was back in Spore on the 23rd July....

I was from the London flight,...
Took the risk to go to the Airport for Standby...
The guy in the HQ was not helping.. told me not advisable to go coz its nt gona be worth it unless i wana take the risk.. (its nt like i cant claim back the tickets) anyway off i rushed to the Computer to print out my Tickets n Listing... (Dont really understand that much about this ticketing thingy) But thanx to Amir for explaining to me out b4 hand...

After printing the tickets, rushed to the Ladies Room, practically ransacked my suitcase to get changed... Coz i was left with 40 mins to departure time!!
Then there was this other Crew who was also changing..Managed to find out her name was Sharon n she's from Bombay.. (haha dalam toilet pon boleh kenal2!!)And that she was otw to the Airport as well.. n she wanted to wait for me coz her flight was not until 4am...
So after changing, n wiping off my Red lipstick, i rushed to the Laundry to drop off my uniform.. And Sharon waited for me til im done with everything, and we took the cab together... (how nice right???)

I told her that it was my 1st time going home and im not so sure where is the Staff Ticketing Counter. so we walked... Amir did tell me that it was gona be a straight aisle... But i didnt really know it WAS really straight and LONG!! hahah by the time i reached the place, i couldnt feel my fingers!!

Sharon told me to check in 1st... The staff at the counter told me to wait til 2am.. .
so i waited n waited... anxiously...
then finally, they called,'Muhamat Ali!','Muhamat Ali!'
i turned around to check n see if ther was anyone by that name...
then the guy behind the desk sounded abit annoyed this time.. 'Muhamat Ali!' Tsk! Tsk!
So i went to the counter, showed him my ticket,
then he asked me, 'Muhamat Ali?'
i told him , 'That's my dad's name!'
(muke mcm tak bersalah je!)

then he asked for my luggage.. haha then i turned, n saw that i'd left my suitcase behind.. haha
Ran to get it n loaded it up on the 'travelator' thing.. haha he issued me the boarding pass and told me to report asap.. hahaha
i stood there not knowing where to go...
Then i ask him, 'does this mean im on the flight?'
He gave me a 'wth'-kinda look.... haha Sorry la!! My 1st time wat!!

i walked out smiling gleefully!! and called up my mum to tell her that im coming home!!!:D

Felt abit emotional when i hugged her... hehehe... ~Saper tak sayang mak oi!! ~

waited for luggage at the Carousel and went out to meet my Dad n Mum (by that time She had to go out of the Arrival Hall due to security reason)

went to have lunch, unfortunately i couldnt stuff anymore food into my tummy coz i had a meal onboard... but i did have Kuih Lapis!! hehe sedap tau... hehe

had air bandung... bought goreng pisang n ubi goreng also.. aiyo juz the sound of it made my saliva drip!! lol
long time since i heard the name of kuih2's.. hehe

In the car, i text my bf to tell him that im in Spore (I didnt tell him that i was plannin to come back..hehe sneaky2)

And went to visit my Nenek Sedara at AMK,... had Asam rebus n nasi... kene paksa makan eh.. hahaha tkpela.. dah lame pon tk dpt mkn home-made food....

Met Mamat,Nenek,Atuk,Pak Dol n Cik Jalina.... showed them a few pix from my laptop...
Then went home to get changed and headed to Orchard!! (where else!??!)
Met My dear Bf at novena mrt...then went to Orchard to meet the Babes n Dude of Dior.. hehe (the one n only guy left.. )
i got a very warm welcome from them... i do miss workin with them... almost 4yrs eh... From 17yrs old as a Part-timer to 21yr old Full-time...
Finally get to meet Kak liana,Yura, kak tina, Cik Aini n not forgettin my Dearest Cik Mona...
i was so thrilled!! took lots of pictures... although i am the odd one out!! hahaha tk tau malu kan!!

then Met Azmi outside of Dior,.. Makin kurus seh!! Feewitt!!!
Waited for the rest to finish changing,and had an impromptu supper meet-up..with
Yura,Cik Mona,Kak Liana,Azmi, My Bf n I.. hehe gerek pe!!
Finally got to eat my Minced Chicken Noodle from Tong Seng Kopitiam at Bugis!
we hang out til the kopitiam wanted to close!! haha
then we headed to Mc Donalds for Sundae Ice-Cream!!
Alot of Gossips!! Yura Cracked funny jokes!! laughed til i wanted to cry.. hahaha
went back after that...

this is the end of my 1st day in spore after 4 mths of being away.....

been lazy to update...
finally the internet is back on..heheh ya.. save duit aku.. lol!
broke my hp... smashed the screen while takin the tuk tuk... somehow the metal piece infront of my new Roxy wallet cracked my cute 4mth old LG360 screen.. hmph!
so i had no choice but to get a cheap phone... so much for saving up to get a blackberry...
its ok..it shall be on my list again soon...

hmm 43more days... kinda counting down at the back of my mind.. although many tells me im nt to count down or it'll feel longer... but its suprisingly fast..
haha esp when u sleep most of the time..(oops!)
i hope my mum isnt reading this.. hahaha

u see.. when u touchdown around 12.30am,... u haf to do all the checks, wait to get on the bus,... take the trip to the HQ, wait another 15-20mins to claim ur suitcases,... then wait another 12mins to scan ur bags through the customs,... walk to the bus,... about 20mins later, u finally reach ur destination (the apartment) u tend to feel tired n want to sleep.. however, after settling all ur stuffs, remove the make-up n stuff, take a long shower, u will unpack ur stuff... (i duno y) but u'll tend to do that although ure freakin tired... then u'll feel hungry!! hahaha
so off i go to the kitchen, prepare somethin for myself,... fruits or tidbits wud b nice... but no...
i will have the tendency to cook,.. MAGGI!! maggi jugak la aku telan yer....
maggi with hotdogs,eggs, with chilli sauce(also from Maggi!).... hahaha
u see when ure hungry, u'll want ANYTHIN i tell u...
but gd thing bout me is, i dont drink soft drinks,.. i stick to fruit juices n water... (sounds nice eh...) but i know it makes no diff... but hey!! u got to reward urself after a long 7hr flight!! lol!

Things i have to keep reminding myself to do or NOT TO DO:

1) save up money to go back in 43days!!! hahaha
2) put aside money for licence... (yay i finally took the step to register!!now waiting anxiously for them to kol me up so i can give them my schedule)
3) buat baju raya!! omg... light purple for family(i bet ain is gona love it), n orangey-gold(does it make sense?) with boifey... hmm (stil waitin for his measurements)
4)stop buying shoes!! haha im crazy for shoes now... i juz bought 4pairs from New Look at Dubai Mall the other day... oopss.. one pair too many i guess... but hey,.. heels are SEXAYY!!!
5) get containers to put all the pastas,cookies,rice etc... (waduh... da mcm mak2 seh...)
6)do grocery shopping on the 27th!
7) im in love in guitar hero... god save me please!! (i hav the itch to get one myself...) argh!

ok.. i feel like blogging today...

counting down the hours to my next flight to london tmrw morning at 7.45am departing time...

its 1.45pm now....

cant wait to get out of Dubai!!!

Its freakishly HOT now.... 38degcel!! Be thankful that u guys are in Spore now....

With the clean water n stuff...

Here's a few Facts bout Dubai that is affecting me...

1) The water sucks!! (its disalinated water)- feels like i juz came out from taking a bath in the SEA everytime i step out of the bath....

2) It's makin my hair dry!! It's not helping people!! Juz had to spend another 16.95DHS on a Leave-on-Conditioner...hmph!

3) I dont quite like the food here... Not as nice as in Spore.... :( Their Masala Thosai taste nothin like the Masala Thosai i used to have... (and believe me.... its different!)

4) I DONT EAT FRENCH FRIES WITH TOMATO KETCHUP!! (apparently they dont serve chili sauce here in the open) ~as if it's a sin!! Argh!...

5) I miss kicap cili padi.... :( [another thing to add on to the List of Things i need to get~a Blender!]

6) They dont sell 'mee kuning' out in the supermarkets.... (i always eat noodles when im in spore!!) now i eat rice everyday...(that explains my chubbiness!!) awh!! poor me...

7) I keep drinkin Redbull 3times wkly now... to keep myself awake... hahah

8) They're stil buildin the overhead bridge to cross to the other side.. which will complete in September 09,..which means i haf to keep takin cabs to get to the other side (11dhs) for a 3mins cross over.... *rolls-eyes!

BUT ABOVE EVERYTHING, IM BLESSED TO BE HERE.... just that i wish they will do somethin bout it.... Cobaan yer...

i guess thats all for now.... nothin much to drag on.... :(

It was a great trip!!

Thank God Alissa was with me... or i don't think i would have been able to visit all those incredible places..

Reached the hotel at about 1pm+(LHR time)~7hrs behind Spore...i had problems with the lock on my suitcase... my fault actually.. but im gona get it fixed real soon...

We went to The Big Ben,The Eye of London,Burkingham Palace,London Towers...

We took the Tube...It's something like the MRT we have in Spore,but the size is 2/3 smaller than MRT...AND the cabins are separated...as in u cant step into another cabin without alighting to get to the other side...

very proud of everyone... for going through

6weeks of training!!

2 Saturday trainings!! finally we made it!! Alhamdulillah...

Although our Graduation Ceremony was a tiny one,... Usually they will hold the event in the Auditorium,...But it was Great!!
Very Personalised and i felt very appreciated....

Felt really blessed to be where im at right now..

To tell you the truth, it wasn't a smooth sailing journey since ive been here 6weeks ago..

Lots of Ups and Downs... Exams after exams... cramped alot of things..2 manuals,6 different types of trainings squeezed into 6weeks!!

Finally its over... BUT! this is not the end,... Its the beginning of a new chapter too...

The Trainers gave us a suprise,... how wonderful :)

We're the last Ab-Initio Batch to graduate... it'll be month's til the next Intake..

Hmm... I can frankly say that i'm really De-stressing myself here...

Had a wonderful weekend...

the lifestyle here is very different from Singapore...

Singapore is more fast-paced compared to Dubai...

Everyday i feel like im discovering new things,making new friends..

Understanding more about all the different cultures...

Discovered new countries (that i didnt know existed)....

Yes for sure all my family and friends back home are missed..

It can get a little boring here during the weekends if you dont have plans...

Some of my classmates would go down to the beach..

Some would go shopping,...

Or visit new places to discover 'Our New Home'...

But i'd rather choose to stay at home...

or hang out with my friends if they're not busy...

Anyway,.. i'm gona get ready to go to the nearest supermarket,..

Nimo is getting a hairband for herself,.. and i need to find the nearest ATM

to check and see if my pay is in.. haha

Then need to do the necessary things...

Transfer money back hm,.. pay bills,.stock up on the groceries etc....

and also to stockup on stockings!! haha

need to used them every single day!!

and i tend to have runs in the stocking almost every other days!!

That explains so much bout the quality of the stockings!!

Finally!! managed to catch the bus this morning...

We were told to wait for the bus at 6.50am... for the past few wks,... the bus always come at 7.10am.. therefore i kind of gotten used to the fact that the bus was gona be late,..

So i kind of anticipated it for the past few days... (My fault k??)

So this morning i came down at 6.45am!

And to my suprise, the bus arrived on time!! hahaha

anyway.. here's today's post...

Had out Group Medical Training (GMT) ... Started yesterday...

and will last for the whole week!...

I was really looking forward to this GMT part of the course..

Studiously did all the assignments... 17++ questions!!

Eventhough we were to do 5questions each day...

haha I'm a good student ok!(so did the rest of the ppl in the class actually)

haha!

Most of it needed the help of the Red Manual...

Therefore i spent like 1/2 hr flipping through

the whole of section 200 of the Manual...

To assist us with more understanding of the whole scenario/session...

It's not my first time learning bout First aid though...

That's why i felt quite confident to come for the class...

and also to answer all the questions given...

I'd learnt the Basic of First Aid back in Sec. Sch when i was in NPCC

(lame la sangat ye!)

But that was mostly BASIC!! we learnt how to treat wounds/bruises,scrapes etc...

i just loved the part when i had to apply antiseptic.. wohoo!

shyiok!!!

Then there was the day when i was workin in Escape Theme Park..

We learnt the Basic (CPR) and Fire Fighting...

I remembered i was freaking exhausted after the whole practice...

after the 30 compressions.... which felt like gazillions of compressions done!

Anyway back to my training ...

yesterday, we learnt how to do CPR,...

Our trainer introduced to us the CPR and what are the equipments that can be used etc...

Because we are being trained for the Airbus A380, we have alot of equipments on board...
However i do not advise you guys to fall sick if u're coming on board k?

It's gona be tedious for the New Crew!!

hahaha im kidding!!

Ya so back to the equipments...

Yes we do have alot of equipments on board,..

We have the FAK,FAP,SRAK,EMK....

mind you we must KNOW what is in EACH of these equipment bags and what does it DO..

I was very excited throughout the whole thing ok...

was really looking forward to the medicines etc...

(feeling2 nak jadi nurse tapi takot jarum!!) hahaha

We did lots of group work to figure out what does each of it do n when do we use them...

(somehow in my mind i was picturing myself becoming a 'paramedic')

lol!!

anyway... the trainer was smart enough to allow us to have our lunch first... made us really hungry thoughout the whole morning... giving us only 5 minutes break in between each session to freshen our selves up....

then after lunch,... we played games... danced around (not my plans ok?!)

the trainer wanted us to be more awake and not to fall asleep... (

It worked for me even without the 'dancing' part...

was happily munching on a toblerone...

THEN!!

She broke the news,.. that we're going into the Child Birth chapter...

ARGH!! the horror!!

Im puzzled at how or why do these heavily pregnant ladies are able to bring themselves up into the plane!!

What in the world are they thinkin??

Are they not aware that it's very dangerous and that anything can happen on board??

What if we have to do an emergency evacuation and these pregnant lady wana give birth??

Don't they know that they might be risking other people's life too??

hahahah im being paranoid again..

it's just that i will tend to think bout these qsns..and qsn myself why...

Anyway if some lady were to give birth on board,...

We're told that its our duty to just 'SUPPORT' them...

Because we're not Medically Trained for Child Birth, therefore, we can only assist them in the process....

so people,... please!! if u're heavily pregnant,... DO NOT,.. I repeat,...

DO NOT COME ON BOARD!!

u're gona scare the freaks out of people like ME!!

Then our trainer showed us the Child Birth Video..

URGH!! i was daring myself to watch the whole process...

But i don't have a strong stomach for that..

Almost wanted to throw up!!

I know Child Birth is one of the most beautiful thing in the world...

But when u're watchin the whole thing from the mother's Ahem! its not that pleasant ok!!

i saw the Placenta, it gigantic la ehk!!!

Im very blessed that my mum gave birth to me... Healthily...

It's depressing to know that some babies don't even get to live up to their lives...

Or worse, some died in the process... Its saddening though...

(Oh Tuhan, tolong jauhkan segala bala' seperti ini... )

Im stil traumatised by the video...

However,.. pls pray for me that if i were to face this Scenario,... i won't pass out in them

(the pregnant lady who is about to give birth) and hopefully i am able to Assist them thoughout the whole process either until the plane diverts to the nearest airport available so we can make an emergency landing and Medical Help will arrive.... (InsyaAllah)

PS: I wana salute to all the Mum's in the world for being a very strong Super Woman..

Esp to My mum for giving birth to 4 healthy children....

BTW,.. i cooked Fried Macaroni with Anchovies and Thai Chili today...

Its saturday.. wasn't supposed to have trainings.. but we have to come back for the Security training... It's really an eye opening experience for me... haha.. who would've known that We would have to restrain a passenger when they're are a nuisance?? hahah i thought that would normally happen in the movies!!

Bout the different pressure points,

how to twist the thumb n wrist etc...

and which areas to give a knucle 'punch' and

hard knock on the back of the spine...

COOL OR WHAT??!!

haha... let all the vengeance out..

I was really hard on him k... hahaha

( Not that i had anything against him or anything)

Just wanted to practice... lol

So now people.. dun test me ya!! im well equipped!!!

The trainer was REALLY rough i tell u!!

All of us tried to find the pressure points and succeeded after afew attempts,

but She was really good!! Demo on me and SHE HIT IT!!

i was screaching in pain!!

hahaha.. n Victor juz stood there and laugh!!

We formed into groups.. learnt techniques on how to 'kick'

the 'Suspect' to make them fall in different directions..

It's so cool!!

It's not that i like to kick people,...

Getting really tired this past few days,...
Dont really feel like talking....
it's juz one of those days whereby you juz wana be left alone...
I think its due to stress... haha
what am i talking? IT IS DUE TO STRESS!

We had this session on CRM (crew resource management).talked bout 'How to cope with stres,'Communication',etc...
Discussed bout how its normal to feel stress when u first moved to Dubai...
How to handle it etc... However i do find that its very interesting to look at things at another prospective... its like 'turning the table around',...
well im glad that it wasnt only me who feels it...

I don't really get 'homesick' but i do miss the food back at home...
As weird as it sounds,... But hey,.. this is life we're talking about.. i can't always be depending on my parents to support me right?
I believe this is the phase in my life where i get to learn more n discover...
Ive always wanted to fly... to see the world,.. meet new people...

And i'll have to keep reminding myself of the goals that i've set for myself so that i won't get sidetracked...

Had our General Safety Test this morning....
I almost had a panic attack.... My mind went blank for a couple of seconds...
But after 45 mins of squeezing my brain juices out... managed to answer almost everything correctly....

Tried the Evacuation Slides....all 3 of them which was available....
Very cool!! Da macam kat theme park.... hehe all of us was like kids again... playin the slide etc...
But i enjoyed the most!! We had to get into the slide raft (from the 2nd floor)... sat there for awhile... waited for the slide to be detached from the plane....fixed the shelter on top of our heads to 'pretend' like it was goin to rain n learnt how it was able to catch the rain waters...
headed back to land.... then inflated out lifejackets manually....
jumped into the pool... (had 2nd thoughts actually) but i did it anyway!! Kudos to me!! yay~

almost thought i was going to freeze to death!! haha but had to do the safety procedures etc......
Became a heroin to 3girls!! haha they didnt know how to swim n was panicking.... taught them to swim backwards... which was way easier...
i paddled/swim/danced in the water while waitin for everyone to get onboard... haha fun seh... i wana do it again!! but unfortunately u gt to do it only once.... unless if u're prayin to do it in REAL LIFE!!! haha no thanx then....

It's a shame that I don't get to utilize my new mini laptop that much due to the fact that I've not gotten the Internet Installed in my appartment,..So many things,so little time...Just got back from the 2nd day of Training... Our (SEP)-Safety and Emergency Procedures...One of the toughest trainings throughout your Ab Initio Trainings....

We got to change into a jump-suit and had to wear men socks for our Simulator trainings just now...
Very pressurising... Was abit confused at first.... Cause it's different when you're learning it in the classroom... reading all the procedures you should be doing and putting it into 'action' when your're put in the situation... made a few mistakes... gotten some feedbacks... everyone were abit confused... coz its out 1st time... hopefully we'll do better next time...

Tmrw we're gona hafe to do the 'jump' and evacuating procedures again.. n ditching (evacuating on the water) which means that we'll me 'thrown' into the swimming pool.... i heard that its very cold.... hahah i bet that'll wake everyone up!!hahaha i cant wait!!! ahhaha

Facts bout Dubai;

Qn:Can you eat openly during the Holy month of Ramadhan?
Ans: NOPE!!! u wish!! haha.. coz if u're caught, u can get fined!! so even if u're a non-muslim or if u can't fast, you will not be allowed to eat openly as well... the restaurants will all be closed during the day...

Qn: How do u dress on a daily basis?
Ans: You can wear whatever u want to..As there's alot of expacts here too... from all over the world... therefore you can dress up or down as u please... But try not to attract too much attention on youself...

Qn: Do they have Cats here?
Ans: Yes they do!! I finally saw one that day... I was like ,' Hey!! its a cat!!!' ok i know i sounded like a freak.. but it was like my 1st time ever seeing a cat in Dubai...haha ok2.. i know its lame..

Qn: Are the things here expensive?
Ans: It depends actually. On where you're gettin it from.. If its in the bigs Supermarets or Grocery strores,. it might be very costly... but I'd prefer to shop at Carrefour... Its cheaper!!!
Unless if its an emergency or a last minute thing... then too bad....

Qn: Are there any different in the stores here in Dubai?
An: Theres a few NEW shops that i've never seen in Spore,... therefore its new to ME....
but rest assure that there's more discovery that need to be done here...

Qn: Are there any problems gettin food or purchasing food here in Dubai?
An: NOPE.. definitely not... It is because its HALAL everywhere!!! cool huh!!
From the Japanese restaurants, to Italian,mexican,Indian,Korean,Western,Chinese restaurants... all are HALAL!! tempting rite??
But mind you, they are also costly :)
therefore i'd prefer to buy the ingredients n cook!! cheaper!! haha

oh well. i guess thats about it for now...

Assalammualaikum...

Day 1 (27march),
Ive reached Dubai yesterday...
finally after 2017km n 7hrs flight....
reached my appt at bout 2.30pm....tried unpackin... but too many things nt there...
but they did provide an ironing board,dinner set,utensils,almost all the basic needs....
My room is not that big.. but enough for me...
the bathroom is a tiny one... but i got a bathtub!! wohoo!!
hehehehe

went to Dubai Mall... had to get a few stuff there...
Met up with Qai, who happens to be in Dubai for awhile (He's from SQ)...
we walked around.... didnt reallhy take pictures coz i was afraid of gettin lost in the midst of gettin carried away with the camera...
anyway the Dubai Mall is like the Vivo City... might be double the size.... almost got lost...
Qai told me,'K k kau tunggu kat information counter nanti aku datang..' so i did....
but unfortunately there was like 4-5 information counters throughout the 1st level of the mall!!!
hahahahahaha
Called him, 'Ehk Qai!! kau kat mane?? Aku kat Information counter ni..Aku sorang la!! kau ngan sape??'
He said,' aku pon kat info counter... kau kat mane?? aku kat depan Cartier...'
so i went around finding for Cartier...
Not knowin that we were goin in circles!! ahaha
finally he said,'Ehk kau tunggu kat depan Puppet tent, nanti aku datang... tunggu situ je!'
so i waited ...
looking lost! pretended to take the map....
after a few minutes he finally arrived...we walked around...

anyway in the Dubai mall theres alot of unexpected shops/boutiques..
such as Quicksilver,Roxy,billabong,Apple bottom jeans,Cartier,anything u gt in spore,.. they got it here...cool huh... its as if i'd never left!
they even sold the Abayas(the black 'cloak' that the ladies wear here) coz kite ni feeling2 nk beli 1 jugak la... mcm lawa pulak eh...hehehe

Got chased by a Horse mascot k! I ran like a crazy woman i tell u!
they had like a small parade in the Mall... they played the musical instruments like the 'kompang' etc(duno wat they call it here)... then the "horse" ran towards me!!!
i ran into one of the shops with one of the staff as well!! Everyone was laughin at me!!! MALU EHK!!!Tak kelakar eh if u were there.... hmph! :P
Qai wasn't helpin at all lk... he kept laughing!.. Thanx dude!!

went to look for the Groceries Store or the supermarkets....

alot of the signs was written in arab... (need to brush up on my arab soon!)
so we decided to look for another info counter to ask...
then The guy pointed to us the direction... its called 'Waitrose' (Mawartunggu) lol!!get it? haha anyway...
we went in... got alot of things for my appt... (cheh! mine or wat!)
Anyway when we were at the cashier,.. the lady asked us if we were from philippines as well...

after heading home almost got lost..
coz the taxi driver doesnt know the name of the building that im stayin in...
finally managed to retraced the way.... thankfully arrived in one piece... haha

2nd day (28march),
woke up at around 7.30am... Mizan called me... hehe... rindu nampak! hehe kididng la,...
juz to make sure in awake coz i had to do alot of things
washed up,... clean the bathroom...finally got to meet my flat mate... Neema...
we got along right away... which is cool... then i had to unpack my things,... arranged it to the appropriate places...took pictures.... then made breakfast.. chicken porridge with hot tea.... watched 'Confessions of the Shopaholic' with Neema...then continue to pack my room n bathroom...
then bout 1.30pm we headed to the Salon... to get our hair and nails done...
i broke 3nails since i got here... i think its bcoz lack of moisture.. so the nails gets very brittle...
The salon is bout 5-6blocks away... so we walked...
its all in one salon.. spa,nails,hair,skin n body treatments etc.. mcm Spa Q la!!!
hehehehe
mani + pedi 100dhs
hair cut(trimming or fringe) + wash n blow 70dhs...
so i think ok la... coz i dun think i wana look unappropriate on the 1st day of training tmrw...
after that both Neema n i went to the super market to get afew things to cook for dinner....
headed home after that to cook...

she went to bed after that coz she's stil jet-lagged...

~not really...depends if ure in the A/C room...

-is the water clean?
~not too sure... coz i dont have a microscope with me to check... so i juz bought 1pack of 1.5l of mineral water juz to be safe...

-does it ever rain?

-hows the food?
~for me.. its fine... coz its easy to get food....everywhere is halal...even the food in the supermarket is sold HALAL everywhere...only that they have a Section for "pork shop" or "Liquor store"....

-hows my housemate?
~she's ok... can get along really well..we have alot in common...She's from tanzania...also a muslim.. she looks abit like rihanna... haha tall and slender...26yrs old

-is it expensive here?
~at 1st i thought it was... but come to think of it.. its about the same as spore...
conversion rate... s$10 = 23Dhs.... bout there... so roughly bout the same...
and the cab here goes by 50cents!!

Counting down to the last few hours....
Im feeling very confused...
part of me is looking forward to the new Journey that God has created for me...
I feel really blessed to have such loving parents,..siblings,..relatives,...wonderful Ex-colleagues/Friends,...
without all these people, i wouldnt be where i am Today....

Life for me has never been a smooth sailing,...
Always disappointing others,making others feel really upset...

Since i was a teenager, I've always dreamnt of becoming a Flight Attendant/Cabin Crew....
whether is it to fly for the SIA,...or The Royal Brunei Airline or even Emirates......

But my life started to change after I'd received an email from the Emirates.....
From the very beginning ive been having doubts whether or not i should go,....
I told myself, "Why not just give it a try?'.. the 1st person i asked was my mum,...
Decided to ask for her blessing to give it a try,...She said, 'Just try la..'
And so i did....
From 1st interview to the very last interview, Ive received full support from my parents,Him,friends at Dior, and relatives......

Finally after 2mths of waiting,.. im finally going over to Dubai...
Alhamdulillah...i feel very blessed to have been given this opportunity to come this far....
Never have i thought of being able to persue my dream of becoming a Flight Attendant/ Cabin Crew.....

Ibu,.... i promise u that i will go with a good name, and come back with a good name...
So please stop worrying as Insyaallah i will be fine....

Counting down the days til i fly off to Dubai....
Gona be there for 3yrs....
Hopefully i'll survive the 5wks training....

Lots of things to do... so little time....Gosh....

Things to do / get;
1) A mini laptop for travelling (red will do.. to match my RED psp)
2) Lots of sweater, probably a cute trench coat will do,...
3) Toiletries
4) A bigger luggage
5) Stock up on my make-up
6) Black heels (lost my previous one... *sobs!)
and the list goes on and on and on....

Hopefully it wont exceed the 50kg limit... *slaps forehead!

anyway im missing him already... HOW!!

its only been like 4hrs.. he's in KL now....
hahah i warned him... 'Dear,... i will throw away the ring u gave me if u fool around tau...'

Alhamdulillah...

im so blessed with everything that i have all this far...

for those who'd prayed hard for me....

i might be flying off to Dubai by 27Feb09....

it's been my dream to fly.... once again Alhamdulillah....

hopefully i wont gt homesick...

hmm.. where do i start?....

k lets see....

1st Dec-

1st day back at work.... very stressed as im kinda lag behind in alot of things....

alot of paper work to be done that i had to bring home to do it...

so that i won't be spending too much time infront of the computer

at work while i can be on the selling floor selling things...

(lol! suddenly im so hyper!)

i only had to double check all the particulars of the customers etc in the system

and make sure that everythings correct...

2nd Dec-

Stil kinda shock at the workload... hmm...

didnt know that 1wks 'away' had doubled my job....

k just fyi, my job is NOT only to sell our Product,

but we're each given a task to do..

For example; I'm the Packaging Specialist & Customer Relations Management(CRM)

so i have to keep updating the customers profile every now and then

except for now EVERY single customer that walks out of Dior

have to fill-up a Customer's Profile Card...

therefore it will keep on adding to he stack...

but its ok,... sometimes its good coz i've got something to

do to keep myself busy... haha

3rd Dec-

went to visit the Dentist. got my teeth checked....

then went to meet my 2 good Friends;

Sham & Naz,

they brought me to the Spore Flyers & the Night Safari!!!

haha (Alamak!! malunye aku!)

20 yrs of my life i've never been to the Night Safari before..

eventhough it's like 20mins drive away from my home?

hahahah

i was like a tourist k!!

1st we went to the S'pore Flyers

i was like a total freak k,...

i took alot of the scenery pix

the buildings etc... i was REALLY like a tourist..

(step Org Brunei je!)

later on in the evening we went to the Night Safari

i swear i was really impressed with the Fire Dance

i took ALOT of their pix(which i will upload

really soon after i gt to transfer it into the comp)

By the way the Flying Squirrel really scared

the SHITS out of me and it wasn't any help that Naz kept scaring me

from the back and making scary noises (thanx eh!!! )

anyway the pix are stil nt in my comp..argh.

its ok.. i'll find a day to do dat.. haha

Ok... my sis helped to edit the picture in the previous post.. which explains why she gave herself LOTS of credits... haha

alright... 2 wks or MC is almost up.... Gona start work soon...

and the conditions of my poxes are that they are beginning to dry up....

i was taken aback when i saw afew on my back that is the size of Africa...

Oh Well.... i guess thats just the way it is huh.... But don't fret coz im gona go to my Company's Doctor n ask them for a good cream...and guess wat?? its FOC!! lol

Spoke to my colleague, Kak Liana.. found out that she's gona have a baby Girl!! Yay!! Alhamdulillah... Lets pray for the safety of both mother n child... Amin...

Anyway tmrw im gona have to go down Town...

Need to run a few errands...

and then meeting Kak Liana to go shopping.... hahaha

need to treat ourselves to something good ya...

it's a MUST - HAVE for us each month...

Mizan fell sick too a few days ago...

I felt bad coz i couldnt be there to accompany him to the Clinic..

Well i guess im excused ya.. with the Poxes etc..

but thank god we're both gona be fine soon...

n i'll be meeting him tmrw to have late lunch.... yay!!!

i miss him alot kay... 2wks... omg...

i juz hope that this whole thing will be over....

i wana start a fresh new blog...
with the help of my sister Ain, with the codes etc we finally managed with this final one.. haha can u imagine? i used to be gd at this... but somehow i forgot how to do it..lol
